A Note to My Kids (Jane)

Lincoln is 1 Month old today! I can't believe how fast time goes by. And I can not believe how fast he is growing either! He already has such a strong personality for such a little guy. Life has definitely changed. I get a lot less sleep and a lot less time in the day- or at least that is how it feels. But the loss of these things does not seem to matter because I have a cute little boy who has taken center stage!
Happy 4th of July! It is extra special for us this year as it Lincoln's first holiday! So not only are we celebrating our countries freedom, but we get to celebrate the birth of our son! He is a little young for Fireworks so we stayed at home and watched fireworks on TV while Justin went over to a friends house for a little while. (It's the one time a year were men can let their love of fire and explosions show and no one worries about them!)
We are still in the Hospital due to Lincoln being a little yellow. They are continuously checking his blood levels to make sure the jaundice is under control. They have even brought in an ultraviolet light called a "Billi Blanket". We have to try and keep it on him as much as possible. Which makes it somewhat difficult to put him down as the light does not always like to cooperate. At first they thought they were going to have to take him to the
nursery to put him under the big lights, but our nurse was determined to get us a mobile unit. And her hard work paid off. She was able to find one for us which means Lincoln can stay here with us!
(But I guess since they pumped me full of I don't know how many bags of pitosin I should not have been surprised!)I just hope they let both of us go home soon!
Lincoln Lamond LeFevre was born today at 9:27 am. He weighed 8 lbs 9oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. It was an amazing experience, but a very tiring one also.
He just did not want to come out. And after a few hours of pushing Dr. Bart decided it was time to take him whether he wanted to come or not. So I was rolled down to the Operating Room and had an Emergency C-Section! It was somewhat frustrating to have all the work up to that point be somewhat unnecessary. But once I saw my little man, everything was worth it!
