Camping..Or Maybe Not

The weather has been so not normal for Vegas, it's been almost on the pleasant side, and that's saying a lot for the start of June in this town. I am not sure if it was this unique weather or just the need to start our summer a little early, but we planned an impromptu camping trip this past weekend. We had grand ideas of spending time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful weather, hiking, cooking in the Dutch oven, and just being unplugged for awhile. At first we were going to go over to Bryce Canyon, but we got out of town later than we wanted on Friday Afternoon and decided we needed to head somewhere closer, so we opted for Cedar Mountain. And it was beautiful, but as you can see, maybe not quite ready for camping!

It might go without saying, but we turned around and went back down into Cedar City and found a hotel. Lincoln was a little confused at first, and kept asking where the camping was. But once we ran by Walmart and picked up a swimsuit and some floaties, he pretty much was in love with the "o"tel. (He keeps asking when we get to go back!)

Girls Camp 2011 Video

So last year I was in charge of making the Girls Camp Intro video, and I think it turned out pretty well. And although I am not the Assistant Camp Director this year, I am in the Stake YW's presidency, and we are working very closely with the camp leaders. So I was asked to once again put together a video. This year was much harder for me, I didn't want it to be just a repeat of last year, but still include the same pieces of information. Hopefully this video fits those requirements!

Moving

Who knew that when you put a house that wasn't a foreclosure of a short sale, it would get a cash offer four days later. We definitely didn't imagine it. Maybe that's why it came as a shock to be in that exact situation. Especially after finding out that the buyer was wanting to have control of the house on the 31st of the month- giving us not quite 3 weeks to move out. And since we have awesome renters in our house and would love to save money for a few future endeavors, decided that moving back into our house wasn't an option, we have found ourselves downsizing again. This time we are moving back in with the LeFevre's, hopefully they are ready for us! A three year old definitely adds a little bit to the mix!!
We have been moving a little bit at a time, ever since we found out the house was officially sold. And can I say It's amazing how much stuff a person can accumulate. And how many places you can find to store it all. Why are we so connected to "stuff"! And I don't even feel like I am much of a hoarder, as I can toss stuff out without much trouble. Heck, There are times I would like to just toss it all out. But then my practical side kicks in, and I realize it is a good thing to have some things in reserve. Now If I could just find a place to put our food storage :0)

MIA

Man, it has been awhile. Every time I have thought about sitting down to update the world (because I know all of you out there having been chomping at the bit, to find out) on how the LeFevre's are doing, something else manages to get in the way. Then I tell myself I need to wait, until I can go back and get caught up on the happenings in our family, but I can see that is never going to happen. So lets do a quick rewind. Summer was great, school started back up, and we had a great Christmas! There you go, now you are all caught up!

I just deleted an entire paragraph, feeling as though it was too negative. Life is good, just tougher right now. I think I need a nap.
