Even though we split the day between two families I did not feel totally overwhelmed as in years past. To get the day started we had to wake Lincoln up for Santa at our house, so it took him a minute to warm up to the idea of opening presents. But once he realized he was getting some cool stuff there wasn't much coaxing to do . Other then trying to get him to stop playing with one toy long enough to open the next one :)
He has been into Dinosaurs lately so many of his gifts revolved around that and of course he got some new cars, because what little boy doesn't love to push cars around on the floor! Sadly, we didn't have much time to play at home before heading up to my Mom's house. But it wasn't much of a loss because once there we got to enjoy a yummy breakfast and open more gifts.
We got some great things including some new Wii games, including Toy Story Mania and Super Mario Brothers. Both of which I think will be a blast to play.
From there we headed up to the LeFevre's where Lincoln once again got to open some awesome gifts. Including more dinosaurs and Mario Cart- which he was totally excited about! I just hope they realize what they have done to themselves! When he goes to Aunt Rachel's house that's all he wants to do! Now he will have his own game to play, and since he doesn't actually play the game he is going to need some help! We also ate a wonderful lunch, Prime Rib to be exact! It was so good!!
We did get to hang out for a little while at the LeFevre's before heading back to Nana's for another get together there with the family. Thankfully, we missed dinner as I am not sure I would have been able to eat anymore! Although, I did manage to leave room for pie!! And I must say it was so yummy too! Maybe it tastes better when you are the one who makes it!!
So overall, it was a very full day, but it was great to spend time with family and celebrate with my little boy!
