Dollar Bowling
I took Lincoln bowling today with his cousins and my friend Lisa and her son James. She actually planned it, I just tagged along! And although there was a slight melt down on my Son's part about half way through, it wasn't all that horrible! And can I say my little guy is one buff kid. He was lifting his bowling ball all by himself and carrying it to the lane. Of course it wasn't a 15 pounder or anything but even with a 6 pound ball I was pretty impressed!
Tuesdays is dollar bowling at the Texas station so it makes for a fairly inexpensive activity. Especially if you can stay away from the snack bar! :) We bought two games for all the kids, but I think if we go again the little ones really don't need that many. They were pretty much done after the first round. So the other kids got a few more chances to practice their bowling skills!
After bowling, Lincoln and I picked up some lunch and headed over to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather we were having today! It was gorgeous! While we were there, I got a call from my sister who then came and joined us along with Lisa and James, and the Weinands. I think I spent over two hours at the park! And although I am sure there were other things I could have done today, like finishing the Christmas clean-up that was much more fun!

Merry Christmas 2009
Even though we split the day between two families I did not feel totally overwhelmed as in years past. To get the day started we had to wake Lincoln up for Santa at our house, so it took him a minute to warm up to the idea of opening presents. But once he realized he was getting some cool stuff there wasn't much coaxing to do . Other then trying to get him to stop playing with one toy long enough to open the next one :)
He has been into Dinosaurs lately so many of his gifts revolved around that and of course he got some new cars, because what little boy doesn't love to push cars around on the floor! Sadly, we didn't have much time to play at home before heading up to my Mom's house. But it wasn't much of a loss because once there we got to enjoy a yummy breakfast and open more gifts. We got some great things including some new Wii games, including Toy Story Mania and Super Mario Brothers. Both of which I think will be a blast to play.
From there we headed up to the LeFevre's where Lincoln once again got to open some awesome gifts. Including more dinosaurs and Mario Cart- which he was totally excited about! I just hope they realize what they have done to themselves! When he goes to Aunt Rachel's house that's all he wants to do! Now he will have his own game to play, and since he doesn't actually play the game he is going to need some help! We also ate a wonderful lunch, Prime Rib to be exact! It was so good!!
We did get to hang out for a little while at the LeFevre's before heading back to Nana's for another get together there with the family. Thankfully, we missed dinner as I am not sure I would have been able to eat anymore! Although, I did manage to leave room for pie!! And I must say it was so yummy too! Maybe it tastes better when you are the one who makes it!!
So overall, it was a very full day, but it was great to spend time with family and celebrate with my little boy!

Happy Birthday x 2
Today is Justin's birthday (he turned 32) which he will now share (something he is not too excited about) with our new...... niece! (Rachel never finds out what she is having so we are always kept in suspense until the end) The baby doesn't have an official name yet, so we can only refer to her as Baby Girl Terry but hopefully Rachel and John can figure something out before they leave the hospital. Brian and Ann say it is quite a hassle to leave and have to complete all the paperwork after the fact, an experience they had to deal with when they left the hospital with Danin. But they have a few more days to figure it out, as they probably won't be released until Wednesday morning.
I took Nana up to see the baby, so here she is holding her newest great grandchild! I can't remember what number this puts them at but its getting up there!

Christmas Lights
We took Lincoln to see the Christmas lights out at Sunset park again this year. Basically, a bunch of different companies from around the valley set up light displays throughout the park. Then between Thanksgiving and Christmas the park is open to car tours for a small fee. They even have a radio station you can tune in to for Christmas music to listen to as you move through the park. Lincoln's favorite displays were probably the "dinosaurs"! (Not all of the ones he pointed out were actual dinosaurs, one was more like a sea serpent.) But he is two so we will give him a break!
I took pictures, but can not seem to find them aywhere, but will post them as soon as I do! :)
