Happy Turkey Day!

It was a day full of family, food , and fun! But since there was no football, it wasn't truly Thanksgiving, at least according to Brian! But I think, we had enough of everything else to make up for it. It was pretty crazy as usual, as we split the day between two families, but they were spread out far enough from each other to not make it completely insane.
Lincoln started out the day by making a new friend! GrandNana found a praying mantis in the backyard, so they put it in a jar and Lincoln carried it around. He was so cute with it. Talking to it and showing it the turkey. And when we were on our way to the LeFevre's he wanted to make sure the bug was ready to go too. It was adorable!
We hung out with the LeFevre's during the morning, blowing bubbles and taking pictures. Lincoln is obsessed with the camera, but he doesn't want to be in the picture, he wants to take the picture. SO it is quite hard to actually get him to smile and look at the camera without his arms stretched out for the camera. Sadly, most of the pictures Lincoln takes are just slivers of objects as he places his fingers over the lens. One of these days there might be more than one that comes out clear without help! But here is one of Aunt Rina that he had a little bit of help with the hand placement!
After enjoying some great food and pleasant company we headed for Nana & Papa Emersons, or in other words we went home! We enjoyed some more yummy food like the traditional Curried Cauliflower and a very moist baked turkey as well as a fried version. But sadly had to resort to canned gravy due to a little bit of scorching of the gravy--oops! I myself have never attempted to make the gravy, as just the explanation of the process is more than I can handle! :) For heavens sake how are you supposed to take it to the edge of being burnt without really completing that process? So although my Mom was frustrated with herself, we all survived!
Overall, we all ate too much as usual but sure had a ton of fun doing it! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving as well!
