Day 10: Traveling

We left South Dakota today! And let me tell you, if you ever have the chance to go to Rapid City, don't pass it up! It is an awesome place. Tons of things for people of all ages. But even though we probably could have stayed another week, it was time to head out to Colorado!

The drive was long, about 6 hours. But it went well overall. All the kids slept for the first 2-3 hours (Except Rydman he was in the front and engrossed in his DS!). I think they were trying to make up for the lack of sleep and down time this past week in Rapid City!

We stopped for lunch in a little town called Wheaton. And it felt like we were back home. We got out of the car and wanted to get back in. It was (according to the car) 95 degrees outside! I know that is not as a as back home. But we thought we were coming to cooler places than that. Let's just say we were glad to b on our way!

We arrived in Denver while it was still light- which I think is a first for our travel days. Most of the time we have been arriving in the late hours of the night. So it was nice to be there in a timely fashion!

We are staying with my Uncle Chuck and his family. We usually stay with GiGi (my grandma) but she is out of town until Monday. Plus we have started to outgrow her house! I remember when we were coming up here with just Rydman!! Now there are 6 children!
